Chuck Barbieri has been teaching English as a Second Language since 2008.
"I taught at 2 Universities in China- one in Chengdu and then at a Nursing College in Leshan, China. I spend my holidays in China teaching Tibetan homeless children English. I have also taught International graduate students basic academic English skills and have been a consultant in middle schools and high schools in Washtenaw County. I enjoy living in the country and spending time outside gardening and playing with pets!"

I teach 3 levels of ESL day classes at Pathways High School. I have also taught ESL in Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Washtenaw Community College, Huron High School, and also Irwin Middle in Asheville, North Carolina. I taught graduate and undergraduate students ESL at the University of Michigan, and Eastern Michigan University. I have visited China, Oman, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Russia, Ireland, India, and Mongolia. I love traveling, studying languages, parenting my daughter, enjoying the great outdoors and I love teaching ESL.

Alexandra Patty

Alexandra holds an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Eastern Michigan University. She teaches the evening adult ESL classes at Pathways. She is an experienced ESL and EFL teacher with a demonstrated history of 10 years+ working with culturally and linguistically diverse learners. She is skilled in online teaching and curriculum development by utilizing students' cultural strengths to help scaffold their second language learning. She is passionate about presenting at both local and international conferences to stay updated on current teaching research and approaches. Her professional goal is to provide engaging and effective instructional materials in order for students to make personal connections, thereby supporting their learning experience in the U.S. In addition to teaching at Pathways, Alexandra also works as an ESL lecturer at Eastern Michigan University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking and sourdough baking.

Cheryl Pieszchala not only teaches GED classes and High School Completion for Ann Arbor Schools, she also takes a genuine interest in each student and helps get them on a career or college pathway.  She is kind, patient, and motivating.  She has helped students of all ages and abilities throughout Washtenaw County obtain a credential and a renewed feeling of  personal success.
