My classroom management style is primarily based on strategies recommended in a book called Teaching with Love & Logic by Jim Fay and David Funk. In addition, I utilize an approach called Responsive Classroom, which encompasses many of the Love & Logic strategies as well as other learning components, such as daily morning meetings, a proactive approach to discipline, positive teacher language, and student choice. In my classroom, students are never punished, but there are always consequences for our actions. I actively work with the children to take responsibility and to resolve their own problems. We have only three rules in our classroom. They are as follows:
