Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Information Systems and worked as a systems analyst for a large oil company for several years before moving to Michigan. Once in Michigan, I received a BSN in nursing from Eastern Michigan University and later a MS in Community Health. My nursing background was in Neonatal Intensive Care prior to becoming a school nurse. This is my 18th year as a school nurse for AAPS, the majority of the time I have been assigned at Huron High School, this is my 8th year at King School. I enjoy working with the children and families at King School and love when I get to see them again at Huron.
On a personal note; my husband Randy is a wonderful man and we enjoy spending time in Indian River in the summertime. I enjoy nature and love our national parks, hiking, back packing and just about everything outdoors. My two children are now grown and out on their own. Hanna is a Speech and Language Pathologist at Toledo Hospital and Peter is an Urban Planner specializing in multi-modal transportation for a consulting firm in Seattle. They both attended AAPS schools.
