Early Childhood Sports
Early Childhood sports programs are held throughout the year at local schools and parks. Multiple options are offered each season so your child can explore their interests and develop new skills. Classes that are currently offered are linked below. Click on the link for more information and to register. Classes that involve younger children often include an adult.NEW on Sunday! Each week children, with an adult, play a different sport in a non-competitive instructional class virtually (LIVE) with Andrea inside or outside. Introduce your child to basketball, soccer, t-ball and more.Create muscle memories through fitness and movement. Each class consists of stations and obstacle courses to explore how the body moves, Using nature and other easily found item, Katrina shares a new video each week for you to watch and do after she welcome to LIVE to class.Join us in this fun introductory martial arts class that children improve their focus, memory, fitness level, balance and coordination skills. Children learn teamwork, discipline and self-control through exciting and fun games and activities.
We are postponing the rest of our Spring preschool sports classes. We're working on the details for summer and hope to offer baseball and soccer for 2 thorugh 5 year olds. Stay tuned!
Skyhawks Baseball for Preschoolers - NEWBatters (2-3.5), Hitters (3.5 - 4.5) and Homers (4.5-5) are our NEW baseball classes offered from Skyhawk Sports Academy. All BaseballTots classes focus on fine and gross motor skills as well as body control. Children and parents learn all the baseball basics: throwing, catching, hitting and running control. These classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday between 4:30p and 7:30p this summer.NEW class for toddlers that involves falling, rolling, balancing, kicking, catching and starting/stopping their bodies and, of course, a soccer ball, at least some of the time. These important skills are taught with your help and it's the beginning of a love for soccer. Offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings.In this introductory soccer class your child learns the very basic, beginning level soccer skills through FUN-damental games, exersizes and imagination. Players work on motor skills, balance and movement in a soccer environment. It's part of our preschool instructional sports program that helps build confidence so kids feel ready to play on a soccer team. Offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings.Put your child in a position to succeed on the court for years to come. This course is designed to instill a love of backetball in every child. Enthusiastic coaches teach the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting and defense in a fun and engaging way. Drills are broken down to be little kid-friendly and they progress each week.
