Students are required to complete a Weekly Check-In with their instructor every week.  The Weekly check-in serves as attendance and is an important two-way conversation between the instructor and student.  The Weekly Check-in is part of our Count Day procedures and is monitored by the State of Michigan Pupil Accounting.  The Weekly Check-In is an expectation of all students and like attendance in a brick and mortar class, does not generate additional credit for students.  However, if a student misses five or more check-ins, his/her grade will be reduced by one-third of a grade.  For example, a student who would have earned an "A-" would now receive a "B+".
