  • Orientation Rescheduling Updates: 

    Please contnue to check back for details regarding the rescheduling of the Semester 2 Orientations.  Pioneer HS will hold orientations all day on Monday, Feb. 12 in room C231.  Huron and Skyline will hold orientation each hour of the day Thursday, Feb. 8.  Students should report to the computer lab in the media center during their dedicated online hour.   Community will hold orientation each hour of the day Friday, Feb. 9.  Students should report to the media center during their dedicated online hour. Middle school students and anyone who still needs an orientation should come to the Clague Middle School media center on Tuesday, Feb. 13. There will be two sessions one at 4 pm and one at 5 pm.

  • Orientations Cancelled for Wed. Feb. 7 to be RESCHEDULED

    Orientations scheduled for this evening, Wednesday, Feb. 7, have been CANCELLED.  Please check back tomorrow for details regarding the rescheduling of this mandatory event.

  • Thursday, February 8 Proctoring CANCELLED


    Proctoring schedule for the morning of Thursday, February 8 has been CANCELLED.  Please attend the session the following week, Thursday Feb. 15.  We ask that you arrive between 7:15-8:15 am.  The morning proctoring session is held at 2555 S. State St. in the Balas building.

    Always check the calander for times, locations, and cancellations of proctoring sessions.  February has only two evening for proctoring, Feb. 6 an Feb. 20.  All proctoring on Tuesday evenings is at Community HS in the second floor media center.  As always, during our proctoring session parking is free behind the school.

    Orientation is mandatory for all students unless they are continuing a yearlong class.  Please check our orientation page for details.

  • EXTENSION REQUEST DEADLINE:      3 PM January 10, 2018

    The semester 1 deadline to request an extension is Wednesday, January 10, 2018.  If a student qualifies for an extension, see policy, the student must see his/er AAPS instructor or mentor Monday or Tuesday, January 8 or 9, 2018.  The completed and signed extension request form needs to be submitted no later than 3 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

  • Michigan Virtual Blackboard - Offline December 25th- 28th

    The Michigan Virtual Blackboard system will be offline and unavailable to students, mentors and Michigan Virtual instructors Monday 12/25 - Thursday 12/28. This is to allow students and Michigan Virtual instructors time with family and friends.

    Ann Arbor Public School systems will be available to students during the holiday break (December 23rd - January 7th). Instructors will be on break during this time so there will be a delay in grading for any activities completed during this time.

    Registration Schedule:

    • Tue, Jan 16, 2018 at 7:00 AM - Registration Begins
    • Fri, Feb 16, 2018 at 11:59 PM - Registration Ends
    • Mon, Feb 19, 2018 at 11:59 PM - Registrations that have not been paid for will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.

    The primary objective for the Ann Arbor Virtual+ Academy is to provide students access to online and extended learning options that will help them to develop a personalized learning path. 


    Thank you for exploring the benefits of online learning.  Take a few moments to look through our webpage and discover all the options we provide students in grades 5 through 12.  Our main emphasis is to deliver the best online content supported by the best teachers in Ann Arbor for the purpose of providing options for students to learn independently within the confines of a given term. 

    Some of the benefits of taking online courses through A2 Virtual+:

    • Flexible so students can set their own schedule each week and learn at a time that is optimum for them
    • Over 300 different course offerings allowing students to schedule the class that they want.  A2 Virtual+ offers classes at the foundational level and courses at the Advanced Placement level, as well as everything in between
    • Our program has a success rate higher than the state average
    • Ann Arbor Public School online teachers provide both scheduled and unscheduled interaction with each student for the purpose of teaching, guiding, evaluating, and proving assistance throughout the term
    • We require all students to complete an orientation and have a minimum of two assessments proctored for each class 
    • Students will build positive relationships with A2 Virtual+ instructors through the required weekly communication sessions
