Enrollment

The Ann Arbor Public Schools Young 5s program is an optional opportunity for those students who meet the age criteria for entrance. Enrollment is limited to space availability and is not guaranteed at neighborhood schools. For the 2025-26 school year, students must turn five years old between May 1 - December 1, 2025. Neighborhood and in-district transfer applications for Young 5s for the 2025-26 academic year will first be available from Tuesday, January 7 - Thursday, February 13, 2025.  More information can be found here.

For grades Kindergarten - 12th, students are guaranteed a space in their zoned school as long as they live within the boundaries of the Ann Arbor Public Schools.

For families that live within the boundaries of the Ann Arbor Public School district but would like to attend a school that is not their zoned school. More information on In-District Transfers can be found here. IDT applications for grades Young 5s, 9, 10, and 11 (IB only at Huron) for the 2025-26 school year will be accepted from Tuesday, January 7 - Thursday, February 13. Additional application windows TBD.

Employees under contractual employment with Ann Arbor Public Schools and living outside the AAPS boundaries can apply. More information can be found here.

For families that live outside the Ann Arbor Public School attendance area. An address in one of the following counties is required: Washtenaw, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, Oakland, or Wayne. More information can be found here. SOC is currently closed.

Ann Arbor Open and Community High School offer an annual lottery for admittance. Students must meet AAPS residency requirements.
