Parent + Teacher Involvement = Student Success!
Hello Eberwhite Families!
The 2018-19 school-year is underway and the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is looking forward to a great year! We hope this short guide gives new and returning families a brief overview of what is to come this year in terms of events and activities at the school. Of course, there are field trips, concerts, and lots of extra-curricular fun not listed here supported by the PTO, but below are the all-school events PTO sponsors, organizes, and participates in each year. Some dates, like The 5th Grade Variety Show, vary each year so watch the Monday email blast for the most current information.
The Eberwhite PTO
Mission Statement of Eberwhite PTO: To support the academic, social, and cultural development of every student at Eberwhite Elementary School.
The Eberwhite PTO includes all parents or guardians with children in attendance and all teachers at Eberwhite School.
The mission of the PTO is:
- to foster closer relationships between the home and the school
- to provide opportunities for parents and teachers to work cooperatively in the development and education of children at Eberwhite School
- to promote participation in broader educational programs in our community
Your attendance, participation, and active involvement in the PTO are encouraged and welcomed!
Ann Arbor PTO Council
The Ann Arbor PTO Council was established to encourage members of all the PTO’s in the district to exchange information, ideas, and concerns. The council is independent of the school administration and the Ann Arbor Board of Education but maintains continuous communication and active cooperation with these bodies and the community. The Council conducts independent study and research projects, acts as a parent lobby group, and sponsors seminars/workshops relevant to education in the Ann Arbor school district.
