I have worked at the Preschool & Family Center for 14 years, six of those as a paraprofessional and eight as an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teacher. Of the eight years as a teacher, five were as an ECSE classroom teacher and three as part of the Assessment Team doing special education evaluations. Teaching was my third career having also been a stay-at-home mother to my two children and a cell biologist. I received my B.A. in biology and psychobiology from Mount Holyoke College, my M. A. in cell biology from Johns Hopkins, and my teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University.
When not working, I stay active with my wife, Amy. We love to hike, kayak, and bike. We have a knucklehead black Lab puppy named Webster and two cats, Scout and Chive. Claudette's daughter just recently had a baby making us a Nana and an Oma!
