• King Elementary School has an amazing program called Anti-Bullying Club (ABC)!

    ABC was featured at an Ann Arbor Public School's Board of Education meeting and in the AAPS Newsletter with this article and video: https://tinyurl.com/y7j6dnl2

    Now in its fifth year, three parents, who are trained social workers, and Mary Cooper, principal, facilitate a once-a-month ABC meeting.  The sessions have four goals;

    Students will:

    1. Have fun!
    2. Learn the names of other students.  (Research shows when kids know other kids' names they are significantly less likely to bully them.)
    3. Know the different types of bullying.
    4. Be empowered to be an UPstander; learning how to stand up for themselves and others (a life skill).
