Mrs. Teall

Hi! I'm Maggie Teall, a fourth grade teacher here at Lawton Elementary School. This is my fourteenth year of teaching and my first year at AAPS. For the past four years, I have been staying home with my three children and working part-time as a writing workshop coach for the Eastern Michigan Writing Project. Before that, I spent six years teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in Brighton Area Schools, including two years in Brighton's magnet program for academically gifted students. I also spent five years living in Japan, mainly teaching second grade and coordinating the elementary program at Marist Brothers International School in Kobe. In addition, I taught fourth grade at Brookside School, Cranbrook, in Bloomfield Hills, and at Eagle Crest Charter Academy in my hometown of Holland, MI.

Outside of school, I am busy raising my three children--Graham and Lila, who will attend Lawton this year, and Charlotte, my very fiesty preschooler. I also enjoy writing, music and theater, traveling, and fitness. I am thrilled to be joining the Lawton community!
