My name is Joel Grambau, this will be my 5th year teaching at Abbot and my 18th year of teaching overall. Teaching at Abbot is a dream come true.  It is the elementary school I attended as a kid and I currently teach in my old third grade classroom.  Each day brings back memories of my childhood when I share what Abbot was like many years ago.  

     I have taught 2nd - 5th grades throughout my career and enjoy teaching the upper elementary aged students.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

     My wife and I live in Saline and have four kids (two boys and two girls).  We are a sports family that loves Michigan Football and Basketball!  I've coached my kids in baseball, softball, basketball, football and even flag football. When we do get a moment of free time, I enjoy relaxing, spending time with family, watching sports, and swimming at the lake.
