Access and Opportunity meet our students through referrals for support, accommodations, housing instability and absenteeism. Our referrals are initiated by students, parents, school teams and/or community agencies.
Access and Opportunity meet our students “where they are” by seeking to establish trusting relationships resulting in identifying present or imminent barrier(s) in their lives. Once we identify the barrier(s) we advocate in the best interest of the student to provide favorable outcomes to support their well-being and learning.
Access and Opportunity is a source of resources for our families in need. We seek and sustain close relationships with community partners to connect our students and families with available community supports beyond the essential services AAPS provides.
