My name is Brian Dickerson and I am the Bryant/Pattengill Intervention Specialist. As an Intervention Specialist I’ll provide students with extended learning opportunities to enhance their academic and social growth. I focus on the socio-emotional needs while providing tools necessary to be successful in elementary school and beyond. In addition, I have access to a wide range of community resources that I’m happy to share.
I’m a former Ann Arbor student who is honored to serve the district that I grew up in. My wife and I have two High School age sons that attend Huron and Pioneer. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, biking, fishing and swimming.
I have enjoyed 16 years as a middle school math teacher and in 2016 I took on a new challenge as a district Intervention Specialist. In this position I gained a variety of skills and strategies related to building relationships and cultural competence. I’ve learned to optimize the learning atmosphere while promoting a safe environment. In addition, I use a variety of strategies to enhance student confidence.
I look forward to having a great year with you in our Bryant/Pattengill community. Feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-223-2220.
