    Building Substitute Teacher

    Ms. Garon

    Hi! I’m Sarah Garon!

I am currently in my senior year at Eastern Michigan University studying Secondary Education Language, Literature, and Writing with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I am so excited to join the Pattengill family!!! Growing up I never saw myself as a teacher but the universe had plans for me that I couldn’t say no to. It turns out the universe definitely knew what it was doing and I could not imagine a better path for me to be on. I believe that we need to always be meeting our students where they are at and do everything in our power to give them the best education imaginable.

For most of college, I spent my summers working at Springhill camp and volunteering with Young Life. Both of these opportunities furthered my love for education. Outside of school, I love to travel and spend time outdoors. I hope to backpack through every National Park and maybe one day hike the Appalachian Trail. Once I graduate in April, fingers crossed that I get to go on a river cruise down the Danube! Another bucket list item that I consider myself lucky to be able to cross off.

I look forward to working alongside everyone at Pattengill and with the Pattengill students.

    Sincerely,
    Sarah Garon
