Hello! My name is Shelby Alvord (Ms. A) and I am one of the ESL teachers here at Lawton. This is my first year in AAPS, but I have taught in Maryland and Georgia. I will be teaching Kindergarten and first grade ESL and will be in at Lawton Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays, and Fridays!

My favorite book is Oh, The Places You'll Go because it is fun and applies to any stage of life!

My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was reading. It showed me how fun exploring books can be; it takes you to another world!
