Hi my name is Ureka Smith. I am excited to be joining the Carpenter elementary school community again this school year. 

This is my seventh year teaching, and my fourteenth year working in the Ann Arbor public school district. I started as a self-contained teacher. I am currently the Y5-2nd grade resource room teacher here at Carpenter. 

I look forward to continuing to build meaningful relationships, growing with our students, and collaborating with staff and families. I am most thankful for this opportunity and look forward to a great year!
