Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a triple minor in elementary education, social studies, and science. My certificate is for Kindergarten thru 8th grade. I started my career in Special Education, teaching 4th -8th grade at Lakewood School, which was, at that time, a county run school for preschoolers thru young adults with learning and behavior needs. The program and school were closed, and I transfered to Eberwhite School. I taught third grade for 9 years, and second grade for 2 years.. Then, I transferred to Lawton, and taught third grade for one year. I moved to kindergarten after that year, and continued to teach at this level for 15 years.
I was born in Ann Arbor, and attended Wines Elementary, Forsythe Middle School, and Pioneer High School. I am married, and have 2 sons. Andrew is studying in Tokyo, Japan this school year, and Daniel will be attending MSU. It is a year of changes for us all, and I am excited to be teaching second grade!
Mrs. Moore‘s Educational Philosophy:
”I believe that all children can learn, and that it is my responsibility, and privilege to help them develop, and continue, a love of learning for their lifetime.
