Hello! I’m Tom Clarkson. 

I have been teaching at King School for the last 34 years! To say that I love King and the children at King is an understatement.  I taught 27 years in second grade before teaching first grade for the last 7 years. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and earned my Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan specializing in Children With Special Needs. 

I’m happily married to my wife, Kelly. We recently got a labradoodle puppy, Milo, who keeps us very busy. Our two adult children live out of state. Our daughter, Sam, currently resides in Denver. Our son, Joe, lives in Chicago. 

Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy playing tennis, watching sports, watching a good movie, and eating a great dinner!
