Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jarjoura

Hello! My name is Reema Jarjoura.  I was born and raised in Ann Arbor to Arab immigrant parents and went through the public schools, attending Thurston Elementary, Clague Middle School and Huron High School. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University and have a Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching. This will be my 26th year at King!

My husband, Joseph Jarjoura, is an Engineer at Toyota Technical Center.  We have two daughters, Layla (18) and Jenna (17). Layla now attends Western Michigan University and Jenna is a senior at Community High School. We also have a fun and loving dog named Sadie. In our spare time we enjoy biking, traveling and attending various sporting, social and cultural events with our family and friends.

Our lifestyle has had to come to an abrupt change over the past months and we are finding a new normal, just like everyone else.

I believe that all children have a love for learning and a thirst for knowledge! I look forward to teaching Fourth Grade this 2020-2021 school year. I am fortunate to be able to work with students and families from many different cultural backgrounds. It's important to me that I nurture my students to develop an open mindset and that they feel welcomed in a safe, anti-racist and supportive environment.

My hopes and dreams for this school year are to reimagine and help set up a framework for the success of all my students.

This upcoming year will bring many new challenges and we will need to navigate this together. Let's take this year as an opportunity to continue learning… no matter what!
