    • COLDER WEATHER- ARRIVAL TIME & CLOTHING!

Please plan your arrival time appropriately.  Everyone waits outside until the first bell at 8:42a.m.  Thermostats during the day are set 66°-70°F and a bit cooler after school and on weekends.  Please make sure to dress your child accordingly each and every day.  We encourage students to wear layers, sweatshirts, sweaters, or fleece jackets to stay warm and comfortable.  Likewise, we go outside for recess unless it’s below 0°F or raining significantly, so outside gear is necessary as well.

    • INDOOR LUNCHES

Please note that while we’ll look for opportunities to eat outside, it’s expected that most of our lunches will be indoors throughout the winter.  As mentioned at the beginning of the school year, we’ve asked teachers to be strategic with their seating assignments (e.g. aligning close contacts from the classroom) & distancing (spreading out as much as possible), and are maximizing air circulation/turnover in our eating spaces.

      RESOURCES FOR THE SEASON

We know the holiday season and colder temperatures can make for challenges.  Please don’t forget about these: Local Resources to Help with the Season Additionally, our own EBW Helping Hands is ready to help as well!  Reach out to Mr. Harris or the Helping Hands at ebwhelpinghands@gmail.com

      GIVING FOR THE SEASON

Dear Eberwhite community. Helping Hands will be distributing gift cards to a number of our Eberwhite families to help them purchase holiday meals, children's holiday gifts, and appropriate winter gear (jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, gloves). If you would like to donate money or gift cards (Kroger, Meijer, Target) to support Eberwhite families this holiday season, checks (made out to “Eberwhite PTO” with Helping Hands on the subject) and gift cards can be dropped at school or mailed to our PTO treasurer (Corey Ryder 1320 Kay Parkway, Ann Arbor, 48103) or Venmo @Jenna-Munson. Please reach out with any questions (ebwhelpinghands@gmail.com). Thanks and stay safe.

      Sincerely,  EBW Helping Hands

      ● Take a look at our Parent Interest form and check off any next year activities for which you might be interested in leading or getting more involved. This doesn't commit you to involvement, just gets you in the loop:

      ● Please consider donating to our PTO Annual Fund if you're able, in order to help us continue our robust teacher support, grants, events, and activities into 2021-22. Thank you!
