Dr. Byron Douglas
Dr. Byron C. Douglas is a clinical psychologist with over thirty years of experience. Prior to coming to Huron, Dr. Douglas worked at the Wayne County Juvenile Court Clinic, the W. J. Maxey Boys Training School, the Hawthorn Center Children’s Mental Health Facility, and Zamani Sasa Associates private practice. Since April of 1998, Dr. Douglas has provided services to both general education and special education students and families. Dr. Douglas is a regular lecturer/presenter in the African American Humanities classes at both Huron and Skyline, and provides consultation services throughout the district on an as-needed basis, and is a member of the district crisis team. Dr. Douglas also provides consultation services throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area.
Dr. Douglas is a product of the Detroit Public Schools System, and earned his undergraduate degree from Howard University. Dr. Douglas earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from St. Louis University, with a specialty in child and adolescent assessment and treatment.
