2023-2024 5th Grade Math Acceleration Program Information

Applications for the 2023-2024 5th grade Math Acceleration option will be accepted from May 15th - June 15th. More information about the program can be found on this website.

A2Virtual+ is now an official member of the Cognia Accredited consortium of schools, districts, and programs. A2Virtual+ Academy is accredited by both Cognia and NCAA. Each accreditation strengthens our commitment to quality and equity. Together the two accreditations show recognition for our rigorous standards that focus on productive learning and our commitment to continuous improvement. We thank our many families and staff who were part of this process.

Welcome to Ann Arbor Virtual+ Academy

The mission of A2 Virtual+ Academy is to provide all students with the opportunity to take innovative, flexible, non-traditional classes as part of their individual education plan on the path to graduation.

Thank you for exploring the benefits of online learning. Take a few moments to look through our webpage and discover all the options we provide students in grades 6 through 12. Our main emphasis is to deliver the best online content supported by the best teachers in Ann Arbor for the purpose of providing options for students to learn independently within the confines of a given term.

Some of the benefits of taking online courses through A2 Virtual+:

Web-based and therefore open to the student 24/7

Flexible so students can set their own schedule each week and learn at a time that is optimum for them

Over 250 different course offerings allow students to schedule the class that they want. A2 Virtual+ offers classes at the foundational level and courses at the Advanced Placement level, as well as everything in between

Our program has a success rate of 93% which is higher than the state average

Ann Arbor Public School online teachers provide both scheduled and unscheduled interaction with each student for the purpose of teaching, guiding, evaluating, and providing assistance throughout the term

We require all students to complete an orientation and during non-pandemic times have a minimum of two assessments proctored for each class

Students will build positive relationships with A2 Virtual+ instructors through the required weekly communication sessions
