This is a formal event, please dress accordingly. No shorts, sandals or tennis shoes! If wearing heels, low heeled shoes are suggested.
With all the excitement and celebrations pertaining to graduation, we must be careful that student behavior does not disrupt Huron's school climate for the remainder of its students. Inappropriate behavior and student pranks will not be tolerated. Students in violation could lose the privilege of participating in senior activities including walking at graduation, attending prom or the all-night party. Parents, please discuss this with your students.

Commencement is filled with excitement and tradition. It is a special time to share your achievements with your family, friends and Huron staff. So that all present may safely enjoy and fondly remember these commencement exercises, there will be not eating, drinking or smoking allowed. Toys and party favors of any kind - noisemakers, horns, beach balls, signs on poles, etc., will not be permitted. Please be respectful of each other. Huron and EMU security personnel have been advised to remove such items.
Parents and guests will not be permitted on the floor at EMU Convocation Center to photograph graduates. Security personnel have been advised not to permit parents and guests to enter the floor areas during the Commencement Ceremonies. A professional photographer will photograph each graduate receiving his/her diploma. Information regarding the purchase of these photos will be mailed to graduates directly from the photographer.
Students who have met all graduation requirements and have no outstanding or uncleared obligations will receive their well-deserved diploma at commencement (immediately following the ceremony). Graduates who do not pick up their diploma at commencement may pick up their diploma, if obligations are clear, beginning Monday, June 10 in the Senior class office.
