Measures to Reduce Student Tardiness
We want all students to be aware that we will be instituting some additional measures to support our students in understanding the importance of timeliness and to reduce missed instruction caused by tardiness. Starting this week we have added a 1-minute warning bell that will aid students in knowing when the end of passing time is near and that it is necessary to expedite their movement towards their class. Also, we will be conducting random tardy sweeps to help resolve this issue. During a tardy sweep, classroom doors will be closed and locked at the end of passing time and students found tardy in the hall will be gathered for an administrative conference. Students found tardy during tardy sweeps will receive 2 warnings. Following that students will receive an additional consequence.
Writing Center Event
This Thursday, December 6th, the Writing Center is holding their annual International Write in Event! During both lunches in Writing Center, students will be able to create original writing. For each piece received the Writing Center will donate $1 to charity. This year, they're donating to the Trevor Project to support LGBTQ+ youth, and InsideOut Writers to help combat the school-to-prison pipeline. Come help the Writing Center create a more equitable world this Thursday!
Presents for Pets
The Humane Society Club is organizing a donation drive, Presents for Pets. There will be a box in the main office and from entrance where you can donate pet food, pet beds, blankets, towels, toys, and spray cheese, anything will help! Your support is needed and can help the well-being of animals in your local humane society over this holiday season.

The Masquerade Dance is coming soon- Saturday December 15 at 7pm. Guest passes are available now and you can buy your tickets for $10 at lunch this week and after school in C417. See Jordyn Newing, Annika Caldwell or Arik Rorie for details.
