Good morning Skyline!

 

School photos

Students, your School photos have arrived and will be passed out during your next Skytime class. Picture retake day is October 14th.  If you are unhappy with your photo. You must turn in the old packet to get a NEW photo.

 

Constitution Day

Federal law requires each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year to hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by the educational institution. Teachers throughout the building will be participating.

Homecoming Updates: 

Homecoming will be the second week of October and more specific information will be coming in the next several weeks. If you’re bringing a guest who isn't a Skyline students - dance guests forms are due Monday, Oct 7th by 2:45pm. Forms can be found in both SLC office, outside A115 or under the student space tab on Skyline's website.  

 

Class Shirts, Skyline Shirts and Hoodie orders close this Wednesday, you can find the link on the student space tab on Skyline's website if you would still like to order one or see Mrs Bezeau.  

 

Homecoming Dance tickets will be on sale during both lunches Tuesday, October 8th thru Friday, October 11th during both lunches for $30. Prices will increase to $35 at the doors the night of the dance. All Skyline students and guests must have a ticket and school ID.  

 

If you have any homecoming questions, please see Mrs Bezeau in Room A115. 

 

Robotics

Join the Skyline Robotics Team! We build amazing robots and take them to compete across Michigan. Come to the parent-student informational meeting tonight from 6:30 to 8 in the DTEP room (next to the commons). No experience necessary! More info on our website at skylinerobotics.org.



Black Student Union

The BSU kick off meeting is today at 3pm! Come check out our agenda for the new year! Big plans are ahead. Don't forget, there will be pizza and raffle prizes too! See Madison Davenport, Demitrius Castelow, or Stacie Warner for details!

A club working to bring new children's books to Detroit kids. Our first meeting is tomorrow right after school. Meet us in C412. See ya there!

 

Student Equity Club

READY, SET, GO!! Are you ready...for Skyline's favorite club! It's student Equityyyy! Thursday's 3:00, Ms. Plouffe room. A404 be there or be square. 

 

Attention all World Humanities students and Latin students in level 2 or higher! 

Are you interested in coming on the Spring Break trip to Greece and Italy? If so, tell your parents to come to the informational meeting tomorrow at 5:00pm in the Skyline Commons. This meeting is mandatory if your parents missed the first meeting back in May.

 

Do you love doing rigorous mathematics for fun? 

Sign up to take the MMPC (Michigan Math Prize Competition) with your math teacher or Mr. O in C310. The cost is $5. The first portion of the test will be given Tuesday, October 8 during 1st and 2nd hours. Previous winners have won money! The deadline for signing up for this test is Monday, Sept 23.
