Fundraising Event

Please consider donating to and/or joining us in the Out of the Darkness walk on Saturday, Sept. 21st @ West Park. It's sponsored by the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and helps to raise funds for suicide prevention programs. This year Dave Almassy and Heather Schimmel will be team captains for Skyline's SWAT team. SWAT team is Skyline's survivors of suicide group. Homecoming Updates: 

Homecoming will be the second week of October and more specific information will be coming in the next several weeks. If you’re bringing a guest who isn't a Skyline students - dance guests forms are due Monday, Oct 7th by 2:45pm. Forms can be found in both SLC office, outside A115 or under the student space tab on Skyline's website.  

 

Homecoming Dance tickets will be on sale during both lunches Tuesday, October 8th thru Friday, October 11th during both lunches for $30. Prices will increase to $35 at the doors the night of the dance. All Skyline students and guests must have a ticket and school ID.

Student Equity Club

READY, SET, GO!! Are you ready...for Skyline's favorite club! It's student Equityyyy! Thursday's 3:00, Ms. Plouffe room A404.  See you later today!

 

JSA

Are you interested in current events? Do you like to debate? Join us after school today in Ms. Barton’s room, C417, for Junior State of America, a debate club with new, timely topics to discuss weekly. This week’s topic is “Should the US rebuild its public transportation system or should we focus on making cars a better choice? ” See you there!

 

Chess Club

Attention all students and staff. Join us on Tuesday September 24th for our first chess club meeting of the year. We welcome all players of any skill level. Come to room C310 after school on Tuesdays.  

 

Do you love doing rigorous mathematics for fun? 

Sign up to take the MMPC (Michigan Math Prize Competition) with your math teacher or Mr. O in C310. The cost is $5. The first portion of the test will be given Tuesday, October 8 during 1st and 2nd hours. Previous winners have won money! The deadline for signing up for this test is Monday, Sept 23.

 

Planned Parenthood Peer Education

If you are interested but haven't turned in your application for Planned Parenthood Peer Education program yet, please see Mrs Bezeau in A115 today - Thursday - so she can assist you on getting those applications completed and turned in. 

 

Women in Science and Engineering Club

Are you interested in becoming a scientist or engineer? Want to help educate the youth about careers in STEM? Join the Women in Science and Engineering Club! Meetings are every Friday from 2:40-3:15 in Mrs. Warner's room, C412, and all genders are welcome! Email skylinewise2018@gmail.com if you have any questions!
