Math Club

Interested in problem solving and real-world applications of math? Or a refreshing take on the subject? Math Club is for you! For this year, we are going to be integrating computer science and community service into our club, too! Math Club is not like any math class. We take a new approach to math that focuses on creative problem solving and uses in the real world. You will also have the chance to participate in several math competitions with your friends! First meeting is this Friday at 4:30 p.m. for 45-60 minutes. Join our Remind here for future updates and this Friday’s ZOOM LINK: https://www.remind.com/join/7fcc6c  If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at skylinemathclubaaps@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!

Board & Card Game Club

Board & Card Game Club starts next Monday! Ready for a battle of wits? The Board & Card Game Club is starting up again. Mondays from 3:30-4:30. If you are a die-hard strategist or just looking to play for fun, we are a friendly group of students and staff that enjoy games of all sorts. Strategy, role-playing, cooperative, competitive, we have it all. Contact Mr. Bertsos or Mr. Brunzell for information and links.

NQuire Team

Interested in tutoring opportunities or on a team for a high-tech project? Join the nquire team! Have you ever felt uncomfortable asking a question in class? Meet nquire: a new math Q&A and learning platform built by Skyline students Efe Akinci and Michael Zhou to encourage collaboration and mutual learning in mathematics courses. Remember that one math question that you might have not felt comfortable asking in class? That’s what we seek to address. With anonymous posting, teacher community posts, and a team of tutors, nquire aims to improve math learning for everyone. What’s in it for you? As part of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours for tutoring, help with website development, work on graphic design, and participate in a student-run startup-- all valuable and highly coveted skills. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, you can reach out to us at skylinemathclubaaps@gmail.com, or fill out our cool interest form.
