High School Schedule Time Change

As a reminder on Thursday, March 25th our student schedule will start at 8:20 and end at 3:10 (7th period will end at 4:25).  Each block will begin ten minutes earlier and dismiss ten minutes earlier.  This time change will be in effect for the remainder of the school year. 

 

Attention Freshmen

There are a few spaces available in each magnet program that are available on a 1st come, 1st served basis. The 2nd round of the Skyline Magnet application will stay open through 3:00pm Friday, March 26 or until all spaces are filled, whichever comes 1st. Notification of acceptance into one of the magnets will come through email the week of April 5.

Commencement: Senior Class Message

As the 2020-2021 school year comes to a close, the Skyline Administration and Staff are committed to providing 2021 Seniors the recognition that they deserve. At this point, we are uncertain what the format for commencement will be, but we plan to properly celebrate all of the Seniors’ accomplishments! While we are still working on the finer details, we would like to give seniors the opportunity to deliver the Class Message at the Skyline 2021 Commencement. If you are interested in presenting the Class Message, submit your written entry to Ms. Szurek via email (szurekl@aaps.k12.mi.us). The winner will be announced on May 28th. Spring Break Travel Recommendations (The safest thing to do is stay home for spring break.)

Domestic Travel: 

  • It’s safest to be with members of your own family only. Masks, distancing, & hand hygiene around others.
  • Check out the CDC Travel Planner for local requirements & resources.
  • Pre-travel: CDC recommends testing
  • Post travel: testing and quarantine is recommended but not required. We encourage testing.

International Travel:

The CDC now requires proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding a flight to the U.S. 

Washtenaw County Health Department’s Advisory to Schools (March 2):

  • Students or staff traveling internationally to most destinations should self-quarantine for 10 days after returning to the U.S. and may not attend in-person school.

CDC recommends getting a PCR test 3-5 days after arriving home. A negative result does not shorten quarantine. We encourage testing.
