Homecoming Week Updates
After two events: the Homecoming Court voting totals from last week, and yesterday’s spirit day, the current point totals are:
4th Place Seniors
3rd Place 10th graders
2nd Place Juniors
and in First - Freshman!
Staff, when announcements have finished, please remember to complete your google form for today’s participation of Tropical Tuesday.
If you ordered shirts or hoodies at registration, or if you ordered them online, you can continue to pick them up today during lunch at the concession stands in the Commons, right next to where the student microwaves are located.
Spirit Week:
The theme for TOMORROW is Decades Day. Dress like you’re from a previous decade! 1950s cool, 1960s mod, 1970s peace & love, 1980s glam rock, or 1990s grunge. Personally, if you ask me, I would suggest dressing as 1830s American Pioneer - a completely underrated decade! But you do you!
Thursday: is Anything Under the Stars
Friday: is Class Color Day: 9th will wear white, 10th will wear Sky Blue, 11th will wear Navy, 12th will wear Black, and Staff will wear Gray, like the skies of the Industrial Revolution.
The Starry Nights Homecoming Dance will be held in our Skyline Commons next Saturday from 8pm to 11pm, with doors closing at 9:30pm. All Sky students and guests must have a ticket and an ID to enter. Currently, you can buy tickets online on GoFan for $32.50. Tickets are available there until Thursday, September 28th. Tickets will be sold next week during lunch on Tuesday through Friday for $30, cash or check only. Tickets will also be sold at the door of the dance for $35 - also cash or check only! The QR Codes and links for GoFan and for Scholarship dance financial assistance are available in your grade level Schoology group. When entering the dance on Saturday night, students will enter through the MAIN GYM doors from the student parking lot.
On Friday, we will have our Pep Rally featuring our PowderTuff Volleyball Game. This Pep Rally will be for current Skyline students only. The Homecoming Parade will take place on our Skyline Campus on Friday at 5:30pm. If your club or team is participating in the parade, you should be in your spot by 5pm. Please remember that only adults 21 and older can drive in the parade. Also, the driveway around the track through the woods is the parade route. There will be no drive-through access to be dropped off - you must walk over from the student lot. There will be a few food trucks on campus before and after the parade until you're interested in grabbing a bite to eat before the game. Also remember that the Homecoming Game vs Lincoln starts at 7pm. The halftime program will feature our poms, Marching Band and our Homecoming Court Presentation, with the crowning of our Senior Royals! You will need your student ID to get into the game for FREE, or buy your game ticket on GOFAN. As always, our Skyline Homecoming Game is a Blackout! Please remember that bags, backpacks, and outside food or drink are prohibited inside the stadium.
