November 11, 2021 - A2 STEAM Remote Learning

Ann Arbor Public Schools logoHello A2Steam School Community,

We are so very sorry this situation has occurred with such short notice.

Due to high levels of staff illness and absences, A2STEAM will move to a day of remote, asynchronous learning for tomorrow, Friday, November 12, 2021.

This is an emergency measure made necessary due to numerous unfilled positions and an inability to fully staff A2STEAM school to ensure a safe in-person learning environment for students on this day.

A2STEAM students will move to remote learning for the day; teachers and staff will be in communication to share asynchronous lessons for students via Schoology, school webpage, or email.

We understand that this announcement is coming to you late this evening; we acted promptly as soon as we received information regarding absences for tomorrow; we appreciate your support in making this transition on such short notice.

Our students, teachers, school teams, parents and community are all working incredibly hard together, making sacrifices every day to sustain the opening of our schools this Fall; we are making progress, and we appreciate your patience.

Thank you for your support as we continue to work through the challenges we face together.

Sincerely,

Jeanice K. Swift

Superintendent of Schools
