NWEA Testing
Testing will continue next week through May. Dates are on the calendar. Please look at the dates and try to avoid scheduling appointments, etc. during those times.
 
Planetarium Field Trip Permission Slip:
We will head to the Planetarium on May 23rd. A permission slip for the trip is in your child's Friday Folder. Please be sure to fill it out completely and return it ASAP.
 
Fun Run:
The Fun Run will be on Thursday (5/18) at 1:00.
 
Half Day:
There will be a half day on Friday (5/19). Dismissal will be at 11:28. Please let me know what your child will do for dismissal that day, even if it is what they normally do.
 
End-of-the-Year Slideshow Help:
Next week, I will share a slide with your child for our end-of-the-year slideshow. Please help them to find a picture of when they were young and a recent picture for them to add to their slide.

The King Learning Garden is seeking a team of garden coordinators for 2023-2024 growing seasons. 

Take a look at our volunteer opportunities to see which one fits your schedule. We appreciate all forms of information volunteer support and are open to your ideas!

The KLG is a community led organization made up of committed volunteers who believe in the profound importance of teaching school children to garden and the far-reaching value of adding a gardening curriculum to our schools.

 

Current Volunteer Needs

  • Lead Garden Coordinator

  • Classroom/teacher coordinator for garden visits

  • Parent/adult volunteer coordinator for classroom visits to the garden

  • Social Media updates 

  • Committee Member (assisting with students in garden during school day)

  • Make a suggestion of how you can help!

Message from Mrs. Burrill:

King Library Books Due by Friday, June 2!

The last week students can borrow King library books is May 22-26.  All books are due by Friday, June 2. Overdue notices will be sent weekly via email until the end of the school year.

If a book is damaged/lost, please let me know so it can be marked accordingly in our catalog. A donated book in good condition or a new replacement copy is accepted as we don’t charge late fines or take payments.
