Wellness Policy & Committee

School districts participating in the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program are required to develop a local school wellness policy and a committee that promotes the health of students. Click here for more information about Local Wellness Policy requirements. 


AAPS Wellness Policy

Following federal guidelines, the AAPS Wellness Policy includes standards for nutrition services, the nutrition environment, physical education, and physical activity. The current Wellness Policy for Ann Arbor Public Schools can be found here.


Parent/Guardian Input is Welcome!

  • Share your input on the Wellness Policy and/or sign up for Wellness Committee updates here. 
  • The AAPS Wellness Committee meets 1-3 times year. Sign up for updates on the Wellness Committee using the link above.
