December 20, 2024 AAPS Winter Holiday Message
Dear Students, Staff, and Parents,
As we head into winter break and prepare to bring 2024 to a close, this is a perfect time to celebrate the dedication and passion the Ann Arbor Public Schools Community has shown throughout the past year. This time of year is not only about winding down but also about celebrating our collective achievements and the spirit of collaboration that defines our district.
I would like to recognize Board of Education Trustees Krystle DuPree, Jeff Gaynor and Ernesto Querijero as their Board service comes to an end. The role of a Board of Education trustee is one of service, and we appreciate the personal sacrifices they and their families have made as members of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education.
As we look forward, we are excited to welcome our new Trustee-Elects Leslie Wilkins, Glynda Wilks, and Don Wilkerson, who will officially begin their terms on January 1, 2025. We anticipate their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas will enhance the vision, mission and goals of the AAPS Board of Education.
This season also serves as a perfect moment to express my sincere appreciation to you—our Ann Arbor Public Schools students, staff, and community. Each of you plays an essential role in making our schools dynamic environments for learning and growth. Your commitment to excellence does not go unnoticed and each of you plays a vital role in shaping the future of our district. Through our collective efforts, we will continue to provide a high-quality education that empowers each student and sets them up for future success.
I wish you all a safe and joy-filled winter break and look forward to achieving great things together in the new year ahead. Thank you for being such an integral part of our Ann Arbor Public Schools community.
Sincerely,
Jazz Parks, Superintendent
