Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
The Ann Arbor Public Schools is pleased to offer 29 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams. All students in grades 9–12 are eligible to take AP exams.

Do I Need to Take an AP Exam?
Although not required, most students enrolled in an AP course choose to take the AP exam at the end of the school year. Students enrolled through A2 Virtual+ or students who choose to self-study may also register using Exam Only codes. Reduced-price exams are available for eligible students.
AP exam scores may qualify students for college credit, depending on the policies of the receiving college or university.

Students should arrive by the listed check-in time. Additional testing location and exam-day procedures will be shared prior to testing.

Self-Study and Virtual Course AP Testing
Ann Arbor Public Schools offers AP testing to all high school students, including students who are self-studying or enrolled in online AP courses.
Students register using designated Exam Only course codes through their College Board account. Students must also indicate their testing intentions in the AP Classroom portal and complete payment through MyPaymentsPlus.
