Students who want to take an AP exam in May 2026
MUST complete BOTH Steps Below
Step 1: Payment
Pay for your AP Exam(s) using MyPaymentsPlus.

Go to MyPaymentsPlus.

Sign in to your account.

If you don’t have an account, click “Register Now.”

You will need your student’s ID number to register. Be sure to link your account to your student’s ID to ensure the payment is processed correctly.

In the Events and Activities section (bottom left of the screen), click on your student’s name.

If you don’t see the exam listed, click “Click to see all Events and Activities” to view all available exams.

Select the exam you wish to register for and add it to your cart.

If registering for more than one AP exam, repeat steps 3–4.

When all exams are in your cart, click the Cart icon in the top right corner to check out.
Important Notes:

Families who qualify for reduced-price meals will automatically see a reduced AP exam fee in the MyPaymentsPlus system.

To receive this discount, the Educational Benefit Form must be completed. You can find the form https://www.a2schools.org/departments/food-service/ebt-and-ebf-forms-for-all-families.

If you believe you qualify but are not receiving the reduced rate, please contact Anthony Lauer, AP Testing Coordinator at lauera@aaps.k12.mi.us.
Step 2: Ordering Your Exam - Completed by Student
You must also join the AP Classroom for your exam through the College Board’s MyAP website.
(Completing Step 1 – payment – does not automatically order your exam.)
Pioneer students join using a join code provided by their teacher.
A2 Virtual+, Community, Huron, Skyline, and Self-Study students join using the exam-only codes.

2. Join the AP Classroom for your exam.
- Click Join a Course or Exam
- Enter Join Code to Enroll
- Pioneer Students: Enter the join code provided by your teacher.
Note: All AP Exams will be ordered through Pioneer High School. If your AP class is not at Pioneer, you must use the exam-only code below.

A2 Virtual+, Community, Huron, Skyline, and Self-Study Students: Enter the exam-only order join code. A2 Virtual+, Community, Huron, and Skyline students will have two AP Classes in MyAP.
3. Complete the prompts.

Click "Yes" for "Are you taking this exam?" The school will be Pioneer High School.

The first time you enroll in a class you will be asked to confirm some basic information.
*** If you joined the AP classroom before making the payment, and the current status is not registered, our staff will review the payment and change your status to Registered for Exam.***
4. The exam will be ordered if the message indicates, Registered for Exam.
An email confirmation will be sent to the email associated with the student's College Board account within 2 school days.
Both of the above steps must be completed before November 7, 2025 at 11:59 PM in order to receive regular pricing. A $40 late fee from the College Board will be assigned after this date. Students will not be able to change their testing indicator themselves after 11/7/25 at 11:59 PM.
Registration Deadlines
Normal Registration Dates
- Begins September 15, 2025 at 12:00 AM
- Ends November 7, 2025 at 11:59 PM (with the exception of second semester only AP courses: students taking those courses can wait until 2nd semester begins to register)
Late Registration Dates (Exam Fee + Late Registration Fees Apply)
- Begins November 8, 2025 at 12:00 AM
- Ends March 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM

Final Registration Deadline - March 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM
There are no AP exam registrations after March 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Exam Fees
Pricing - Before 11/7/25
Registration Fee - $140 per exam
Reduced Fee for Eligible Students - $10
NOTE: Students of families who qualify for reduced-price meals will automatically see a reduced fee in the My Payments Plus system based on their eligibility. Please contact Anthony Lauer, AP Testing Coordinator, at lauera@aaps.k12.mi.us if you believe you qualify but are not receiving a reduced rate.
These rates apply for students who register and pay for exams during the normal registration window of September 15 - November 7, 2025.
Pricing - 11/8/25 and After
Late Registration Fee - $180
Reduced Fee for Eligible Students - $50
An additional $40 late fee determined by CollegeBoard is added for all students who register and/or pay for exams late.
Any unpaid exams will be automatically canceled if not paid for by March 6, 2026!
Refunds
Students who cancel an exam by Friday, November 7, 2025 may receive a full refund of exam fees.

After Friday, November 7, 2025, there are NO refunds.

Late fees are nonrefundable.
Do You Have a Scheduling Conflict? Miss an Exam? Contact Us! Don't Miss Out!
We will do our best to accommodate your needs within the College Board's parameters. Our AP Coordinators want your child to be able to take the AP tests they want to take. We will work with you and the College Board to arrange for late testing when possible. If you are aware of a conflict with a testing date, please contact us as soon as possible (NO LATER THAN 3/6/25) to see if an alternate test date can be arranged in your circumstances.
