Tuition Preschools

2025-2026 Program and Enrollment Information

  • Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 8 AM.

We will be accepting enrollments in our tuition preschool program for 4-year-old children only at our Allen Elementary School and Thurston Elementary School locations for the 2025-2026 school year. Children must be 4 years old on or before December 1st, 2025.

  • Registration and payment of the deposit is required to secure your space in the tuition program. Once the deposit is paid, we will send you a link to access the enrollment forms to be completed.
  • Registration/Enrollment is first come, first served.
  • When spaces are filled, we will initiate a waitlist.

AAPS PRESCHOOL OPTIONS

The Ann Arbor Public Schools offer free, grant-funded, and tuition-based preschool options at one or more of our 7 locations (Allen, Bryant, Lakewood, Mitchell, Pittsfield, Thurston & Westerman Preschool). Programs serve 3- and 4-year-old children living in Washtenaw County or one of the nine Washtenaw County school districts. 

Tuition Programs

Available at Allen & Thurston
Available for children turning 4 years-old on or before December 1 of the school year.
  • 4-year-old option is available at Allen and Thurston.
  • Families are responsible for transportation to/from all locations.

Free Grant-Funded Programs for 3-year-old Children

Available only at Westerman Preschool & Family Center
Available for children who turn 3-years-old on or before December 1 of the school year.
  • Transportation provided for eligible in-district students enrolled under the Head Start program only at Westerman Preschool 
  • A family must be below 100% FPL* or meet other criteria.
  • Go to https://helpmegrowwashtenaw.org/ to complete an interest survey to start the application process.

  • A family must be below 250% FPL* or meet other criteria.
