Extended School Year
Extended School Year (ESY) 2023 - PreK-12
Program Description:
Our Extended School Year (ESY) program serves students with IEPs in grades PK-12 that are found eligible by the IEP team, using criteria set by the Michigan Department of Education. Students qualify for ESY services based on data showing significant regression of progress after breaks from school, severity of disability, and students who are in a critical stage of learning that cannot be interrupted. ESY services occur over a five-week period and are individualized to support each child in maintaining progress on current IEP goals and objectives. Services are differentiated, and will be developed to meet the unique needs of each student.
